URANQUINTY REST AREA

Public BBQ

This roadside rest area between Albury and Wagga serves as a practical highway pit stop with basic facilities. The site includes toilets, covered seating areas, a barbecue, and drinking water, plus a historic aeroplane engine on display that adds some visual interest. There's also a dump station for caravans. Cleanliness is inconsistent. Some visitors report clean toilets and well-maintained facilities, while others describe the area as neglected with litter problems and outdated amenities. The barbecue has seen questionable use. Council maintenance appears sporadic. The rest area attracts truck drivers who park overnight, which some travellers find reassuring for safety. Power outlets are reportedly switched off. It's functional when nature calls on this stretch of highway, but don't expect pristine conditions.
